Activities @ NCWGC...

Below is a brief description of the various groups of shooters who call NCW Gun Club home. Please check the Contact page in the nav menu above to get in touch with the appropriate person(s) regarding any veny you'd like more information on.

Note: If the program you’re interested in doesn’t have a linked page, or shows as ‘Under Construction’... talk to the person running that particular discipline, not the webmaster. Odds are, the person running the program hasn’t submitted any content for the web site.

Casual Shooters

The largest and most diverse group @ NCWGC. Everything from plinking with rimfires to making big clouds of smoke with black powder, from sighting in before hunting season to bringing the thunder with .50 BMG... in other words, a little for everyone! There are multiple ranges on the club property that are for use by members and their guests. It is recommended to check the club newsletter or the web calendar to avoid any conflicts with scheduled events.

Cowboy Action

The Cowboy Town 'Aimless' (in the ravine below the race track) is home to the Apple Valley Marshals, the local chapter of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS). The Marshals gather the third Saturday of every month. SASS is one of the faster growing shooting groups in the country... it combines the excitement and challenge of action shooting with a good dose of nostalgia plus good old-fashioned family fun!

MR1C

NRA High Power Rifle

NCWGC is the home of the 'Windbuckers', the Wenatchee Valley's NRA-affiliated High Power Rifle club. We have two sets of target pits, one at the end of the old 300yd rifle range and one on the far hill side across from the WVSO track. Official distances include 200, 300, 500 and 600yd lines. NCWGC hosts several NRA sanctioned matches each year, as well as regular monthly practices for folks who just want to get their feet wet.

Shotgun hulls

Shotgun (Trap)

With a scenic view up the Wenatchee River valley, NCW Gun Club has a dedicate shotgun range with three trap houses. Shotgun practice and matches are regularly held every Thursday evening at approx. 7 pm. Members participate in both league and traveling matches in association with the clubs in Cashmere, Orondo, Chelan and others.

Pistol

NCW Gun Club has plenty of room for pistol shooters too. With both covered pistol bays (north end of the long grey building) and 'open air' bays (between the concrete barriers) there is hardly ever a time when you can't find a spot to put a few rounds down range, whether its from your favorite .22LR, practicing with a carry weapon, or the new magnum you picked up. We also host (in association with Wenatchee Academy of Firearms and Fortis Security) a number of pistol classes each year. One class in particular has been extremely popular: Women's Only Handgun Training. More information on these classes is available at your local area gun stores.

And remember...

Before you leave for the range, check that you have your membership card with you as well as eye and ear protection for you and any family or guests you are bringing along. Be sure to pay attention to all posted signs and policies around the range for your own safety and that of others. Not knowing is not an excuse!

Leave the range nicer than you found it!!!

Take a few minutes to pick up so we can all enjoy a nice clean range!
