Home of the Apple Valley Marshals
The Apple Valley Marshals is the local chapter of the Single Action Shooting Society ( SASS). The Marshals get together every third Saturday of the month. During the warmer months they meet down at Aimless, the cowboy town in the ravine below the race track. From approximately mid November through mid March they meet up at the covered pistol bays where the terrain is a little more hospitable (and there's a nice wood-burnin' stove too!). The Cowboy Town @ NCW Gun Club is the result of countless hours of hard work and 'sweat equity' by our members. Outside of the regular scheduled events it is open to the general membership but please remember that low-velocity soft lead slugs are the only ammunition allowed in 'Aimless'. Modern +P and magnum loads are very hard on the mild steel targets. Most modern carbine/rifle loads are too powerful for use at such close ranges so think before you load up and start shooting.
