State Smallbore Championship – Mother’s Day

The annual state smallbore championship will again be held @ NCW Gun Club over Mother’s Day weekend.  As such, the 300yd range will be closed for the duration of the match.  Please make use of the rest of the range on both days; the WVSO will be taking the weekend off.

WSRPA East District Championship

NCW Gun Club will be hosting the Washington State Rifle & Pistol Association East District championship for NRA High Power Rifle competition.  The match will be held on Sunday, May 16th starting @ 0900 on the 200/300yd range, and moving to the 600yd line around 1100-1200 for the last stage.  If you have any interest in attending, please contact Monte Milanuk for more information.

Wenatchee Valley Super Oval

As a reminder… the WVSO race track will be commencing operations later this month.  For your convenience, scheduled events for the track have been added to our calendar so our members know when the track will be busy. When the track is having its prep days (Monday & Friday, 0800-1600), the 300yd range, the shotgun trap houses, and the 600yd line are shut down for safety.  On Saturday race days, the whole range is closed from noon (1200) until the regular time the following morning.  For the practice nights… try to be done and out by the time scheduled, if not sooner.  Remember… they’re our neighbors.  We need them, they need us.

300yd range repair

As most of you know, the cover over our 300yd range took a beating in the wind storms last fall. Some emergency work was done to cut loose the parts that had fallen down, but the remnants are still in pretty bad shape.

We are working on various grants from both the state and the NRA to try and offset the cost of some of the rebuilding process, but any donations from members would be greatly appreciated. Whether its funds, materials, tools or just labor, we can use it all.

Women-Only Handgun Training

NCW Gun Club and the Wenatchee Firearms Academy have started hosting special women-only handgun classes. If you or someone you know wants to get familiar with handguns in a low-key, no pressure environment, swing by one of our fine area gun stores (see links at the bottom of the page) and pick up some information!
